The studio was filled with magazine cutouts strewn across work tables, boxes of Color-aid paper, small notebooks with sketches for soon-to-be larger works, and charcoal sticks of various sizes.”

Jiménez has a multi-lingual, visual vernacular. His choice of medium for each body of works allows for both 3D interpretations through to more traditional works on paper. He often uses collages, assembling a range of materials including fabric, plastic, charcoal, and acrylic paint. His 3D works include wax-cast bronzes and most recently ceramic installations. His studio in Mexico City is a melting pot for his creative explorations.
